If you are using your GPS, plug in the address:

9 Lower Dunbar Road, Seal Harbor, Maine 04679

 

You can reach the general area on two different routes:

1. Follow I-95 north to Augusta and exit onto Route 3

 

...or...

2. Follow I-95 north until you reach Bangor. Take the exit for I-395, continuing until the end where it meets Route 1A. Continue south on 1A towards Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. 1A will go into Ellsworth and rejoin Route 3.

 

From Ellsworth

Stay on Route 3 until you cross two small bridges which will take you onto Mount Desert Island. You’ll have passed a small visitor’s center on the right just before you go onto Mt. Desert Island. At that point, Route 3 will go to the left and Routes 102 and 198 will go straight. Continue straight onto 102 and 198. When you reach the Island’s only other traffic lights, 102 and 198 will split and you will turn left onto 198. Stay on 198 until you see the junction of Route 3 (198 will continue straight into Northeast Harbor). Turn left onto Route 3, and continue about 3 miles to the village of Seal Harbor, passing the beach and harbor on the right. Just past the harbor, you will come to a T-like intersection. Continue to the left, staying on Route 3. You will go through the town of Seal Harbor and continue up the hill towards Bar Harbor. You will make your second left after town onto the Lower Dunbar Road. We are the large school house on the right. Our sign will be out front.
