
Tuition and Fees
Payment Policy
The balance of tuition is due May 1st, 2026. Registrations received after June 1st will require full payment at time of submission. No payment is taken to join a waitlist until you’ve been contacted by one of the Directors and you have accepted an open space.
Costs are in US Dollars (USD) and include room, board, and all program costs. The cost of college credits for our Advanced Session Credit Program is additional and payable directly to UMaine when billed by them (usually in the spring). Travel to and from the program and snack/souvenir money is extra and not included in the tuition.
Payments made after May 1st must be in the form of a credit card, eCheck, or certified bank check. Registrations received after May 1st must be accompanied by full payment. No personal checks will be accepted for tuition balance after June 1st. Students may not attend without the tuition paid in full.
AIO reserves the right to vacate your space in the program and offer it to someone on the waitlist if tuition is not paid by May 1st.
Returned checks are subject to a $40 fee per incident.
Because this is an educational program, some students may qualify for local scholarships and community support. Consult guidance counselors or local reference librarians for suggestions.
Sibling discounts are available for families sending multiple students to AIO. The second child from the same family attending during the same summer will receive $400 if attending the one week session or $800 if attending a two week session.
Refund Policy
Withdrawal or changes to registration must be made in writing (via mail or email) and be received by the date(s) below for AIO to honor the listed policy.
- Withdrawal before March 1st, 2026: refund of any money paid including deposit.
- Withdrawal between March 1st–April 30th, 2026: refund minus deposit.
- Withdrawal between May 1st–30th, 2026: refund of tuition, minus deposit, only if space can be filled by another student on the waitlist.
- Withdrawal starting June 1st, 2026: NO REFUNDS.
All refunds will incur a small percentage cancellation fee commensurate with rates on CampMinder.
